Matched Filter
MAC researchers have developed a robust approach to Matched Filtering for the detection
of Manchester Codes embedded in noisy signals for significantly improving the performance of optical telemetry systems. The
technique leverages redundancy in a priori knowledge of message space and employs a Normalized Correlation to exploit the
Cauchy Schwarz Inequality. The technique is illustrated here:
