Senior Optical/Electro-Optical Systems Engineer
This position requires leadership of system level design and development and testing of lasers and Electro-Optical (EO) instruments that may be used
to support a variety of measurements in the spaceborne, airborne, ground, and marine environments. Wavelength operation ranges from the ultraviolet through the infrared. The preferred
candidate would have significant experience in laser based remote sensing systems, Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), interferometry, and/or spectrometry. Successful systems engineering
experience must be demonstrated. Hands-on experience with optical design (Zemax or equivalent optical design software), aligning, and testing of optical systems is required. Experience
with modeling, analysis, and simulation of EO instrument performance, scattering and atmospheric phenomenon is a plus. Candidates must possess excellent leadership, problem-solving,
multi-tasking, and (written and oral) communication skills. A degree or degrees Masters level or higher preferred) in appropriate engineering or science disciplines, e.g., Electrical
Engineering, Physics, or Optical Engineering and 5+ years experience are required. Experience in laboratory work with ultraviolet lasers a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the development of laser based EO systems that include contributions from several disciplines, such as electrical engineering,
mechanical (opto-mechanical) engineering, optics, software, and atmospheric phenomenology.
Provide hands-on technical oversight in the development of prototype systems.
Develop new EO instrument concepts, cost estimates, specifications, and presentation materials for proposals.
Contribute in a significant way to program and technical management, either as a manager or by providing data to other management staff.
•Assist in the technical transition of technologies to PDR/SDD class hardware and ultimately, product manufacturing environments.

Laser/Electro-Optical Systems Technician
This position requires experience in the construction and testing of Electro-Optical (EO) systems and the utilization and testing of lasers.
Experience with ultraviolet lasers is a plus. Testing, aligning, and approximately five years of experience in working with lasers and optical systems is a must. Ability to
assemble and test electro-optical systems and components is desirable. Ability to work in laboratory with minimum supervision is desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with lasers in integrating and testing EO systems
Maintain laser and related EO assets
Provide hands-on technical assistance in the development of prototype systems.
Develop new EO instruments and integrate and test prototype systems.
Contribute in a significant way to optical system development programs by constructing and testing prototype optical hardware and electro-optic systems.

EE Research Engineer
Michigan Aerospace Corporation is seeking an EE Research Engineer with 5+ years experience in analog
and digital parts selection, harnessing and board design. Experience with PIC microcontroller development, FPGA development, IDL, Python,
C/C++, VB, QT, Multisim, Ultiboard, or Solidworks a plus. In addition, any background in lasers, optics or opto-electronics is considered
exceptionally valuable. Qualifications must include a BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Applications include development of laser
systems and electrical system integration for spaceborne, airborne, ground and marine environments. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and
written communication skills, and problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analog and digital circuit design and PC board layout.
System integration of custom and commercial hardware for rugged environments.
Opto-electronic design, build and test.
